Slim PSTwo

Having never done a slim model before, I was going to go out and buy a brand new slim model from best buy and chip it. I have an MI green dot chip ready to go and I just want to know if I need to install a laser fix or anything. Are there certain models I need to install fixes for and others I don't?

If you do that do NOT get a version 15. The number is SCPH-7700X and they have slimmer boxes. There might be a great possibilty that you might get a GH-051-12 motherboard and there aren't any diagrams for it at this time.

Good to know, I just picked up a PS2 before I read this

But, as it turns out it's a 75001b. So, my question is still - do I need to do a laser mod with every slim model?

You do not need the laser fix thats only for v12
