I have a standard (Fat) PS2 with a Matrix Infinity Home Brew, i guess (the first one on this page http://www.infinitymod.com/cgi-bin/m...e.pl?page=home) since it doesn´t have auto-boot, i have always to eject the slide thing when i turn it on and then insert again when the ps2 boots.

My version is 1.21, so i just have some doubts like... can i update it directly from 1.21 to 1.93? And does the old standard ps2 has any problem with that?

should be just fine to upgraded it only if it is a genuine matrix infinity. if you don't know what chip you have, don't upgrade it until you do. and the only way to be sure of the chip is to open your system and find out.

Thanks, i tried to open it before (in an attempt to maybe fix my 5.1 output that a week after i got my ps2 back from the laser alignment it got screwed) but couldn´t. Anyway, i´m pretty sure that mine is genuine cause my friend updated his firmware and it was the same guy who installed it that installed mine before.
