    cheers
By my experience installing many modbo 4.0, I can say without hesitation that it's a high quality matrix clone.

Perform just like a real matrix will.

if its like a matrix, by memory my old ps2 has a matrix, matrix had a menu feature that you could adjust things i think holding down x while pressing the power button on the unit i could be wrong, would go to matrix menu

ive been doing reading up on the chip and it isnt a very stable chip. I was also googling for this modbo homepage and theres no listing of the site so i think it an old clone and they must of got shut down by sony

well, i guess you have not installed much modbo4.0

    this chip is very stable on v9 (5000X ) to v18 (9000X v1)
i have done countless installs for those consoles.

true, it's less stable for v7 and under and now personally i have issues with this 90002 V2 board ( GH71-42 ). but the real MI also has problem in 7900X. you need a PNP transistor to get around with it.

you can hardly source real MI these days, modbo4.0 is not a bad choice for v9 -v18.

It's a perfect clone, so you have de matrix logo when you startup, you can go in the feature menu by holding triangle and O at startup. You can start apps from dev1 and dev2 like the real one. You can force psx/dvdv by holding 'o' and can disable the chip by pressing start just like regular matrix.

    Really it's the same thing...

thats fair enough, i don't know to much about this clone, i only posted what i thought twould help you guys out, but if you find that these clones arn't working on later models then you'll have to start using another product.

i used matrix all up to v12, after that it was dms series, and now im going to try these argons and infectus chips

    cheers

yeah, worked out now. it turns out that i have been sent a batch of faulty modbo4.0

now i replaced with modbo750 and everything is fine except for ps1 games you need to boot with 'O' button pressed. but not many people care about PS1 these days.

Iam not able to find which mod chip to go with

    Iam having 90004 CB,
    SLIM PS2 built-in power supply (220-240 volts)

    Browser 1.40
    cd player 2.00
    play station driver 2.00
    DVD player 3.11

if you need the Motherboard details, please help this newbie in locating it, I opened the top cover but as i don't have a chip already didn't dis-assembled fully.

some say infinity, some modbo don't know much about this, would appreciate any help.

    Hi

Your console is a v18, i was still using the last of my h20 chips from http://www.d-vices.com/subzero/index.php, i had no issues with them, but i don't deal with ps2 much now days apart from repairing them.

If you google for chips youll find something that support your model ps2.

    cheers

thanks for the Input, someone suggested modbo4, while some says matrix 1.9 works with v18, getting confused.
