Not really. Think of the difference between green and orange dot Infinity. Sometimes ps2 gets changes in pcb layout in a way that the modchips have to be redesigned.

However, it seems to be possible by using the modbo diagrams. Good to know that.

Really all of them use the Crystal diagrams :)
With 79000 works New Modbo 745-760 & Crystal doubtless.
With 90000 works New Modbo 745-760 doubtless.

I've heard someone who used a Modbo745 on 79000 only 15 days... I think it was an oldest version.
It's better to choose Crystal...

I have an SCPH-90001 NTSC-U from lego batman bundle mine is:

Motherboard: GH-071-42

Console: SCPH-90001
Browser: 1.40
CD Player: 2.00
PlayStation Driver: 2.00
DVD Player: 3.11U

I have a Modbo 4.0 with matrix fw 1.93 an it's almost perfect.

Only issue is that the chip doesn't auto detect psx and dvd-video. I have to hold "O" on boot for playing both psx and dvd-video.

Anyone could post their experience modding an 90001 from lego batman bundle?

That would be easy to fix, but needed the source code, and release something like v1.94.

?? Where I get that?

For the chip, look like developpement for modchip stopped on ps2 so I don't think we ever get a fix for scph-90000.

I'm wondering if Duo Ultra work fine with this model.

Yes the Duo3Ultra works fine with SCPH90000 I´ve done 5 so far and not a problem
