SCPH-39006 (Jap & V8 & GH022) issue with Matrix Infinity V1.62 & Modbo 1.1 (V1.38)

Have read many documents about the SCPH-39006 (NTSC) issue of not being able to install the MI in this V8.

All my ps1/ps2 PAL games, original and backup give RSOD.
Also the upgrade CD-R's give RSOD.
It did not matter if I holded the reset button until the blue light went on, and did not matter when I selected fast boot mode.

Also read that someone could install the Crystal Chip 1.0 in this V8 with the G point connected.

I have the following specific questions:

- Where is the G point located on the V8 ?
- Can a MI installed in a NTSC console, play PS2 PAL backups ?
- Does anyone know which modchips will work in this V8 version ? (please also mention if I need to connect extra points).

take a picture of your install.. pal games will boot on a ntsc system. I think your install is bad.. recheck your bios wires, rst, power and ground.

i have done lots of 39006 (actually while writing this post i am modding one)and never found any problems with the matrix infinity
also the MESSiAh 2 is working fine in those machines


(i turned the 39006 on and yes this one saids also hello Matrix infinity)

so you should really check your wires
