Just wanted to let you guys know
    (Straight from MI page)

    December 19, 2005
    DEV2I V1.10 Released.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Released today DEV2I V1.1 software for the Infinity Modchip.
You can Download it from HERE.

    - What's new :
    - Added V12 external hard drive interface compatibility.
    - Enabled loading of BOOT.ELF from the boot path of the DEV2I.ELF executable (e.g. to use it from
naplink, just place DEV2I.ELF and BOOT.ELF in the same directory and the BOOT.ELF file will be
    loaded directly from HOST: )
    .
Should work with any launcher program that supports correct arguments passing to the launched elf
    since the default path is taken from argv[0];

If you don't understand any of this, just follow the instructions inside the readme.txt to burn the
installation cd and everything will work automatically. ;-)

More goodies are going to be released in next days, so, keep checking this page!! <=- wohooooooooo! GO MATRIX TEAM! GO!!!!

It is really a good thing but still not perfect . I installed the DMS HDD Explorer as boot.elf and with that tool I installed : hdl 0.7c , reality mppro , ps2os and much more. Now I use the dev2 mode , and DMS HDD Explorer boots outumotically from HDD and I can boot any app of the above with the click of a buuton .
I wonder why the MATRIX TEAM did not write till now a INFINITY HDD EXPLORER and a INFINITY MEGAPACK just like the CRYSTAL TEAM and DMS TEAM ?
    Best regards

I would agree with kamelq, DMS HDD Explorer is the best thing for hdd. Myself is using it with HDL 0.7c, CB9, SMS and etc. I wish the MI team will release something like this.

I feel like a newbie here heh, but oh well..
You said you installed DMS explorer as boot.elf using the Matrix chip?
Also, your boot.elf file came from this package? "hdd-explorer-installer-1.31"

With the current problems with HDLoader and the newest games (MDMA/UDMA) I would like to get a menu to choose the propper HDLoader 'version'

    Thanks in advance

Dammit, i can't get this to work with HDLoader.

I have this unpacked .elf of hdloader.

I patch it up with that GUI program released in here.
mdma r9 i think its called.

I rename the packed elf as BOOT.ELF

Put it in a folder with the other files found in that dev2installer.

I make an iso with winiso and burn with alcohol 120.

But nothing happens on my ps2.
And yes, i am booting in Dev2 mode.

    Can anyone help me.

You can't use capital letters. All must be small letters i.e boot.elf instead of BOOT.ELF

From what i know the DMS Team, made DMS HDD Explorer 1.31 in a way any modchip can use it.

My modchip is a Matrix Infinity and i use DMS HDD Explorer as my boot.elf. From there i install / remove applications like HDLoader, uLaunchElf, SMS, Pgen...

    This is fecked up.
    Nothing seems to work.

Should all the files be rewriting in small letters.
And why does the FAQ tell us to name it BOOT.ELF and not boot.elf

    I've wasted several cds already.

Can't anyone make a small faq telling us how to install DMS hdd explorer and HDLoader as a boot from the HDD.

    Damn this sucks.....
