I personally don't mass with clones period their cheap knock offs trying to get rich off of some one elses hard work.

The original matrix infinity is a tank of a chip and always played everything i tossed at it. That chip set the bar for quality made with thicker pcb and can with stand higher amounts of heat.

Even on the orignal xbox i stayed away from duo-x and aladden modchips only used X-ecuter and smartxxx.

Sure those clones are $20 cheaper but i take pride in my work not going to install somthing that will give people issues to save a buck.

I know that chip was free and i know you was just doing it for somthing to do just stateing how i feel about them is all. In china on those clones they have no quailty controll no testing like the big names have like dms 4 and matrix.

Just like when i mod xbox 360s i always have a customer use a samsung drive instead of a hitachi cause the samsung will play any burn dl dvd+r tossed at it.

I'm not knocking you guys at all i know your just tinkering around with your own stuff just for kicks.

regarding PS2 chips, I have to say the original matrix is infinately better than the clones. i've got a real one in my ps2, and a clone I soldered into another. needless to say I've still got the genuine. I no longer have the system the clone was in.

As for my OG Xbox, I love my duo X2. It's been very stable and consistant with the X2 bios flashed onto it.

And I can definately agree with the sammy's vs. the hitachi drives in 360's. that hitachi that was in it was a royal headache trying to get to read backups. the sammy was having trouble at first, but i think I've got it took care of and it's working like a champ now.

but I can say that some clones are great. duo chips (recent ones) are pretty stable and reliable. I can't argue with a chip that does that. Also, it may come down to luck of the draw too.

!! The samsung ms25's and ms28s i have a dealer i by from on ebay who has the sammys in plastic lined up in a box from samsung buy the cases. The samsungs i keep on hand when doing a premod 360.

If a 360 has a lite on/benq/hitachi ill swap them with a samsung. The sammys read every thing i ever tested on them. Ritaek/meromax i even have a modded keron drive on my pc to my make backups of my orignals.

as for ps2 mods go i find it really hard to beat a matrix chip

It's all good. and as for sammy's, I have in my PC nothing but sammy's (actually toshiba samsung - TSSTCorp) Even my xbox 1 has a sammy (I made sure I put one in after that thompson was confirmed fully dead.)

Those drives have to be the workingest bastards I've ever seen regarding dvd drives.

I do xbox mods sometimes, all I ever used is the Duo-x, they work great and $13 shipped is a good price and included is the unnecessary but convenient 1.6 rebuild so you don't even really have to think about what your doing when installing them, just align it up and solder it down. (of-course only nessasery for the 1.6 versions)

Anyway My checksums do not match up file sizes are identical though. could be because a much older version of cloneCD was used I'll redo the image later useing the same version clonecd when I get a chance.

Did not have time to checksum them all, will do that when I get back home later and post them but for disk one the img file is MD-5: 7686A82CB5F0158227A77949405C0652

just to make sure its the same release of the title the disk ID is SLUS-00628

Peppers, I decided to compare against myself on the game, and both my computers are coming up with different MD5. I'll create a second list soon on this and post them up within a few hours. got a few things to do first

The matrix infinity's are hard to find now i found a place a few days orderd 15 at $49 a peice. Well worth it thou great product and their is not alot of modchip sites any more.

i think their no longer in production I THINK so don't hold me to that just real hard to find!!

Odd thou the playstation 2 is still a big seller and has some of the best games ever made.

I only buy exclusives for my ps3 those are they only games that are worth playing on the ps3 the cross platforum games i get on the 360.

myne is slightly differint than this one but seems pretty close, it was free so I desided I would install it in a spare but first I would like to know if it would be worth my troubles

the parts are in slightly differint locations and the part on the botton is white but the lable is the same

Maybe it's a cheap chinese clone like this one?
