oviously this is a clone but is it one of the ones that work well?

myne is slightly differint than this one but seems pretty close, it was free so I desided I would install it in a spare but first I would like to know if it would be worth my troubles

the parts are in slightly differint locations and the part on the botton is white but the lable is the same

looks like a clone of a modbo 745. should be OK. but I'd be leary of entering that config menu unless you got it extremely cheap.

I installed the chip and it dose work, I will wait on trying the config menu for now but I will probably stupidly try it out eventually.


edit:did change setting in the config menu and everything is still wokring fine.

Good deal. That was the part I was concerned about on that chip since it looked like a second gen clone and could go either way on bricking with the config access. But as for the chip's functions these days, I don't even screw with it. I use FMCB for any DEV function and leave the chip to boot backups.

About that, I had to lose FMCB because the 2 where not playing nice together.

The ps2 would act all crazy if I tryyed to run a disk The FMCB and matrix logos would pop up one after each outher then I would get the FMCB LOADEING screen then it would eventually give me the old red screen of death. Perhaps its the hacked OSDS I did not have a chance to fully test it, but that is what makes FMCB better than modchip dev modes.

Anyboady know anything about that?

Yep, the chips sofware+ some part of FMCB do not get along.
