I've got a question about the ps2's video output. whenever I play a ps one game, the image fills the entire screen; however, whenever I play a ps2 game, the image has a very thin black border around it. this image is even present in the browser menu. I'm using the official sony component cables for my video output. I remember s video having the same problem but the black border was even thinner. composiite had no black border from what I recall. does anyone else have this problem? and does anyone know how to fix it?

    thanks

What kind of tv is it? Some tvs (HD) will interpret signals differently. My S-video cable works beautifully on my 42" samsung DLP. But if the tv is sensing a certain "resolution" that's different from what it wants to put out, that could be your issue.

I'm using a 32-inch lcd tv. I think it has to do with overscanning. based on what I've read, I believe a lot of hd televisions, when overscanning a low resolution signal to fit the screen, will make a lot of things (especially characters) appear fat.
