Ps2 no longer booting ANY backups.Help?
Ps2 no longer booting ANY backups.Help? –

I have a ps2 with a matrix infinity installed, that really never gave me many problems, however after about 3 weeks of not using my ps2 at all,Its now ceased to boot backups at all, still boots retail ps2 games.
Could it be a problem with the chip? Its odd because it dosent even try to boot the disc ,Ive had some problems booting backup games before, but that was after the game had a quired some scrathes and after a few tries I could almost always get it to boot.
Oh actually now that I think about it the error its givin me is "the ps2 does not recognize this disc" when the background turns red-ish.I dont think Ive gotten that before. Its like I dont have a modchip at all. Before when I had trouble booting a backup, the ps2 would try to read the disc and give me that "cant read disc error" in the ps2 main menu where you can also manage memory cards, but lately it wont even go to that menu. What do you guys think?(Ive succesfully updated the firmware before,so I dont think I have a clone)
the "Matrix" logo still comes up at each boot. And I can still use the modchips menu were you can tinker with all the options.
Any ideas? suggestions?
