    hi i bought a ps2 slim with matrix infinity, but the seller told me not to play ps1 games, but he didn't explain me why, its that true? and why?

    That installer must be stupid. PS2 has PS1 compatibility. There's no reason not to play PS1 games.
    SCPH-7501 PSX - Basic chip, hole in case

    Maybe the laser is weak and can't play CDR backup games.

    and how can i know if the laser is weak, i tried final fantasy 8 and it runs without problems, but i´m still worried, i´ve heard that ps2 is really fragile
