PS1 backups problem

Well i have Matrix Infinity v1.93 at PS2 Slim PAL SCPH 90004.

I can play PS1 Original games (i tried MGS1 at NTSC)
I can play PS2 Original games (tried MGS2,MGS3 at NTSC, WRC at PAL)
I can play PS2 backup games (tried Finding Nemo,Kingdom hearts)

I CANT play PS1 backup games (tried Crash Team Racing,Silent hill and Abes Exodus).
I used force PSX at the beggining,Also the games are burned in CD's

If i am not wrong Infinity should be able to play PS1 backups correct?

check your SX wire. if it is not connected/improperly connected, ps1 backups won't work.

Today i burned on CD Resident Evil 3 and its working

I cant get working though Silent Hill and Crash Team Racing and also Abes Odysee :'(

I am gonna try Abes Exodus and lets see...

otinane: dude how were you able to back up MGS1? i've already tried to back it up but i'm always stuck without one file from the original disc. i forgot the name of the file (movie something) but i know that it regulates the order of cinematics in the game. the game would really be screwed without this file.

i tried ripping the game with alcohol, isobuster, and imgburn and i still got the same prob. can you tell me how you managed to rip the game and what apps you used to do so?

The MGS1 i played on Original one,not back up.Maybe i will try (not atm) to make also a backup and try it to see if its working.

I am using Imgburn mostly,Alcohol,Winiso,Isobuster.

Strange thing....

I cant now play Resident Evil 3 that i was able before.

Could be something with the laser?

My SCPH-90001 can't auto-detect ps1 and dvd-video I have to hold 'O' on boot to make it work. I saw lot of similar report for matrix/modbo on scph-9000x series.

With the 'O' boot method all my ps1 games work. (and dvd-video btw)

So u have Matrix and u are using backup CD of PSX with no problem?What PSX games can u play?

Btw, I have a Modbo 4.0 with matrix fw 1.93 but since it's a clone it should act the same as original matrix infinity.

Star Ocean
Castlevania SOTN

that what I got so far (just modded it few week ago)

Οk tested Silent Hill 1 , FF 7 and FF 8 and they are all working.

What i did is that i burned them on some other CD's (i was using Creation now i tried some with no name and it is working)

Bad thing is that in some games (like CTR there are bad sectors,dont know if it is the writing method,writer or if it is the ISO that is partially corrupted or not well backed up.

I will do more tests tommorrow and i will let u know...wish me luck
