I installed a Matrix Infinity on my V7 about 3 months ago. Everything worked great. I took it to the park, read it bed time stories. We were a happy couple. That was until 3 days ago....

It stopped working! It will "turn on", but nothing comes on the screen. I can hear the player running, the fans work, the lights are all on, but no picture. So I opened it up, checked the connections, and everything seemed to be in working order. So I put I put it back together and tried it out. It worked! Well, kind of.

After about 2 hours of gameplay (Resident Evil 4, just in case you were wondering) the screen went blank. I reset and nothing. I unplugged my hard drive and nothing. I checked the video and power cables and still nothing.

Any ideas as to the problem and/or how to fix it?

mine did the same thing after the beefy power wire solder connection broke free from the mobo. My chip wasn't getting enough power... then I got the BSOD (black screen of death).

I opened it up, soldered a darn good power+ground connection, now everything works great. ...this was on a DMS chip tho. :-)
