Well, I took my PS2 to a shop and got it remodded for $125 with a real Infinity chip. It's v1.38. I suppose I got ripped off big time with a huge installation fee, but it's the best I could find. Oh well.
I reburned a PAL ISO after I used pal2ntsc with the y-fix. The default Y-Fix value was 48, but it still gets cut off at the bottom, what value should I be using?
I found out that my chip was the NH9 chip, so that explains everything.
CONCLUSION: If you got your PS2 pre-modded, MAKE SURE ITS A REAL INFINITY CHIP INSIDE, otherwise (as told to me by the shop guy) you'll fry the chip.
