This is the second time now that I tried to unsuccessfuly tried to install my Matrix Infinity in 2 different PS2 slims. The same results happened, the ps2 turns on for a split second then powers off. The install was very clean with no bridges or solder splashes. I also check all of the fuses and as far as I can tell they were ok. Does anyone here fix PS2 slims? Someone please help!

    Thanks!
    Bill

do you have a picture of your install ?
did both pstwo's work after removing the mod

turning of is a protection of the system if something is wrong
perharps you mixed up the power and Grnd on the chip
this also happend to me twice (even after more then 8000 mods i have done)
Luckly desent mods are protected with a diode so both systems are still up

Also a common failure is damaged DVD controller points if those are grounded the system also turns off (i have seen lots of repairs for this)

About the question off defect modchips exist
YES and No i have seen only 3 defective Infinity's till now and if used lots, lots, lots of them

i can repair your systems if you want but then you have to ship it to the netherlands
