i have just bought a new silver slimline playstation2 from gameworlddirect.co.uk i wanted the matrix infinity chip installed with it, on the website they say it is installed blank, but want i want to know is, can i play my backup disks on the ps2 straight away if the chip is blank or will i have to download or install something on to it?

just download the firmware update from the matrix teams website, burn it, pop in the disc, restart the ps2, and hold reset while restarting and release just before the blue clouds apper and it should boot the firmware disc and from there just following the easy instructions
cheers buddy iv downloaded the 1.91 version from the matrix website, hopefuly things go smoothly and i can start gaming again soon!
