Please insert Playstation 2 disk?
Please insert Playstation 2 disk? –
08-24-2006,07:24 AM
Hello, This is my first post here and I joined to ask this question.
I have easily created countless backups in the past with ease,
I just burnt an iso with nero at 2X speed for Sengoku Basara 2 PS2 FULLDVD JAPan version. (devil kings part 2)
Tried burning twice- once at 4x and once at 2x
Matrix infinity modchip was just flashed to the latest firmware today, went fine.
I get the red screen that says "please insert a playstation 2 disk".
The m.i chip is turned on.
Other backups still work. (including japanese titles)
it is burnt to DvD-r
Already searched Google and this forum for suggestions.
Any ideas on what could be the problem?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or input guys.

did you copy the game from an original or another copy? If it's another copy, does that copy play? Also, does the original play fine if it was an original?

hi. it is from an iso file via the web, so It may be a non working title/file...
I just wanted to make sure there was not another step or some kind of upgrade I did not know about.
I have been obtaining games in this way with great success until now which is why I was compelled to ask...
regardless, thank you for the response.

you might've gotten a bad iso. or maybe even a PC version of the game.
mount the iso with Alcohol or Daemon Tools and see what's inside.
compare it to files on your other working PS2 games -- they kinda should be similar. (ie. all PS2 disks have "system.cnf")

huivzhopu, Thank you for that reply. I did what you said with Isobuster.
looked like the same file system... so I did a rebuild of the iso files to a bin then burned it to a sony DVD+R disk. couldnt beileve it worked!!
This is the first time I have ever done anything like this. Plus the first time I ever had A dvd+r disk boot in my ps2
I hav always used mid grade -R disks (may have been my problem from the start
)
In any event thnks again for your input. Never taken for granite.
