    Does this modchip Matrix infinity got an overheating protection?? like ,if the chip will switch off if the chip or the PS2 Motherboard gets too hot?

    i don't believe that any modchip has overheating protection, its not like an intel or amd...you can't overclock mod chips. and they don't need heatsinks so the chips can't get all that hot.

    I don't know if this is correct, but I was told by my installer that the MI switches off straight after boot to avoid any chance of it overheating.

    I can't turn off totally though, can it? Otherwise how does DNAS detect it?
