NTSC and PAL

I just got a Matrix Infinity chip in my PStwo slimline. The maschine is an NTSC-model and I want it to work with PAL-games too since I moved to a PAL-country.

So far I have tried both kinds of original games and only the NTSC versions worked, though the "Matrix" picture shows up and everything. Also the version is the newest one......the version 1.54.

I have only tried PAL backups so far...and they didnÂ´t work.

The installation is made of pros and it is definitely not a fake chip. The installer had it working with some backups before shipping it to me.

Could any setting do this....or what can be wrong?

Hmm, sounds like u may have to adjust settings...

Hold triangle and boot up ur PS2, then u will enter a menu, try to change settings to PAL for instance, or try sumthing out

indeed you could check the settings broodje suggested
only you can enter the menu by holding Circle and Triangle by start up

What's happening when you boot a ps2 pal game does it show distorted
or does it not authorise (RSOD)

YOU HAVE CHANGE THE SETTINGS...WHEN TURNING ON THE PS2, PRESS AND HOLD TRIANGLE AND CIRCLE...AND CHANGE THE FIRST SETTING TO "PAL60" AND THE SECOND SETTING TO "AUTO"....that will force all games (originals and backups) to PLAY on a NTSC ps2.

Thanks for the tips everyone. Something weird is happening with the thing. This moring (the day after I got my PStwo back) everything suddenly works.... though it was black/white so I changed the settings to PAL 60 and auto in the next one which made it show up in color. Thanks SubZero06

It is weird that it suddenly works....I hope it will stay this way.

What could be wrong with it?
