Nothing happening - Teammodders installation
Nothing happening - Teammodders installation –

Hi,
I bought a pre-modded PS2 from Team-Modders (teammodders.com) with a Matrix Infinity chip in.
I got the PS2 today and plugge dit all in etc. However, it didnt work! I attempted to play a game and nothing happens - all I get is a black screen.
The game is inserted and the MATRIX logo appears on the screen, but after that, nothing happens and there is only a black screen.
Any ideas? Team-Modders have not responded yet.

In the shipping one of the modchip wires came loose. I'm sure teammodders will make it right. Just give them some time to respond.

Thanks for the quick response.
How can you be so sure that it is merely a lose wire? If they had packaged it properly, surely it wouldn't have come loose? Or perhaps, they didn't install it properly to begin with?
Thanks..

Also - is a dodgy grinding sound meant to occur when the PS2 is sometimes loaded?

From experience, if you get the black screen, a wire is loose or installed in the wrong spot.
My guess is that it came off since it was shipped and the mail carriers might drop or mis-handle the package.
About the grinding noise, without more detail or seeing it in person I couldn't give you a good answer.
Just tell everything to teammodders, and I'm sure they will make it right. Do they offer any type of warranty on their work?

Yeh, they have a 30-day warranty. It's just extremely frustrating and a hassle I shouldn't have to have.
They are based in MN and I'm in CA so postage takes a while. I have to send it back, they have to fix and then send it back to me. All that time I'm sitting here without a PS2. It'll be interesting to see who pays return postage to them!
Perhaps they shouldn't have protected it with newspaper and I wouldn't be having this problem!

They said they're replacing it. We'll see...
