Not Booting after modchip install –

Hi,
I just installed the MI Green Dot chip into my GH-040-12 and now when I boot I get the Matr!x Logo screen then says Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc eventhoug I have an original in the machine.
What coule be the possible problem(s)? Bad solders at which points?
Thanks!

Hi,
Sorry for the delay. I have been working crazy hours. Here is a link to a picture of my install. Any suggestions? What would cause it to ask to an original disc eventhough I had one in it?
It won't let me post a pic or a link so hope this kinda works.. copy and paste.

Thx

Can any modchip installer (or anyone else for that matter) point me in a direction to start looking? Which points would cause this problem?

OK, *UPDATE*
If I disable the chip I can play originals just fine. With the chip enabled, it boots to the matrix screen and just sits there. I am able to get into the config screen so it appears the chip is fine... just a prob with the wiring.
If I try to reset the ps2 a few times it will go to the Red Screen asking for and original disc... even if an original is in it.
Can anyone tell me which wires could be the problem??

Does anyone have any ideas for me to start? OR should I say continue?

Your ground wire is too long.
Try this point:

Your install is not very neat, and you should try to look at some installs from some pro installers that neatly organize their wire to be short as well.

Wire length with the MI has never been a real problem, however for good common practices its a good idea to keepem short.
I would have to guess your problem has to do with your CDVD points being incorrect or loose.

You Rock!
I shortened the ground wire... it was only about 2.5-3 inches long.. I had my doubts... but used the ground suggested and now it works!!
Thanks a bunch!!
