if im not mistaken those numbers. that disc shouldnt work in anything.
the P.I. avg should be 10 at most. spikes at 69 are bad. and if it did read it would be choppy its alot easier to see a graph, but i would say its a bad burn

Okay, so I tried one of thebooked discs and it got stuck at 50% in the thing and I had to restart to get the cd out. Is it the burn speed or something then? Because my burner's native is 8x but the discs are all limited to 2.4x, Althought I am not sure why the disc from the other burner didn't work because that one burns natively at 2.4x. I can access all the discs fine in explorer, but you might be onto the problem. Well, i'm still waiting for the quick test version to see if that'll work and I can post some graphed results.
I think it could be a couple of things.
the burner must be on a master ide.
if the media is 2.4 it should be burned at that speed.
and while it is burning, you shold not do any other task.
but like i said i would patch the iso image with the dl patch.
that way there is no Q: if thats the reason why
Thank you for the advice, three of my burns did have the toxic patch in though.
Also I just tested a taiyo yuden dvd-r backup of GOW in the drive and it actually had more errors, but that works just fine!...argh... I hate DL
yeah DL is picky. you dont really notice untill you have a bad burn
which can be media or the burner
there another thing to try . make sure the firmware is upto date on the dvd writer
do you think I should just give it one more shot with alcohol 120%? The firmware was updated already though. I'm a little hesitant to make another dud with tehse pricey dual layer discs
Why not try converting the dvd9(4.94gb) to dvd5(3.88gb)????? I converted it using the tutorial I found on the net, I could post the pdf, if you would like to try it. I burned the iso using imgburn and book-typed it to DVD-ROM with Sony D21 dvd+r, it worked fine on the first try... could be worth a shot u knowI have a lite-on dvd+-RW and it burned the iso fine at 2.4X. Let me know.. I can try to help if you dont find another solution.
what kinda burner do you have?
i would make sure you can set the book type to dvd-rom
make sure the burner is on a master IDE
burn media at 2.4x what its rated for
and do not run any other task while burning
if you have done this already then i wouldnt atemp again
i would buy a new burner maybe a liteon they have worked good for me aswell
Yea, I made sure to do all that already. Not sure if its worth buying a new burner for since that'd more the price of GT4 itself...
About converting it to DVD5, I was looking through it and it seems like you'd have to lower the resolution of the movies which I don't want. I'm also wondering how that works with God of War because the original game is huge...so wouldn't they be cutting parts out or lowering the resolution of a lot of things?
