you can modify the install.dat without the pc-tool (you don't need it), if you want to use the triangle button as a dev booter other then using the infinity manager just rename any elf file to "manager.elf" and replace it in the matrixteam folder on the memory card.

ive downloaded myps2 v1.2. do u mean i only have to rename MYPS2.ELF to MANAGER.ELF and put all other folders of myps2 into the iso and burn it? then i am using myps2 instead of the infinity manager when use the triangle button?

yes, but you will have to copy all the files/folders required for myps2 to compliment the manager.elf aka myps2 in the matrixfolder on mc0. unless you are using myps2 v0.5 or below then all you have to do is rename the myps2.elf to manager.elf, eather way it will load myps2 when the triangle button is depressed on restart instead of the infinity manager.

    myself I boot codebreaker 9.2 from hdd (dev2), myps2 1.2 (boot.elf), sms 1.6r5 (boot2.elf), hdl 0.7c (boot3.elf), & PS2OS 0.3b (manager.elf).

the simplest way to create the matrixfolder on mc0 is to install the infinity manager then delete the manager.elf in the folder & transfer the new manager.elf (renamed elf) w/ps2os or myps2 or if it is only a single elf file (not myps2 v1.0-1.2) you could just replace the mananger.elf file with the new renamed elf file and install as you would the infinity manager.

Thanks for the info flamingo. A couple of things aren't quite clear though. What tools or how do you use to browse the memory card files to delete the manager.elf & add the new Myps2 manager.elf along with it's subfolders?.

use ps2os or myps2 to browse and edit the memory card files and folders.
edit: you must create the folders on the memory card that the files will be copied to for myps2, just remember that myps2 is case sensitive and the manager.elf should be in all capitals. the target folder is called MATRIXTEAM on mc0 and the MANAGER.ELF with the folders and files should be created & copied in the matrixteam folder with the manager.elf.
