I don't think it's a clone because I managed to upgrade it to 1.82 before this.
Plus I can change the settings in the configuration screen freely without frying the chip.

try it again.

i always sent the bin&cue to my HDD with hdl dumb.

then i just boot it as it was a game.. Works fine and saves cd's

eh... what if I send it to the hdd via winhipp, will it work?

I think I'm gonna downgrade my fw to 1.75, and then try to upgrade it to 1.88.

oh and i've checked again, at the update to 1.82 screen it says press 'x' to update instead of 'start'.

ok I managed to downgrade to 1.75 succesfully.
then i tried to upgrade to 1.88... and guess what?
it appears to be a 1.82!

you gotta be kidding me.

i'm bewildered.

Eh? I dl the fw from the link given. File name is InfinityFW188.zip and I extracted it. Burned the image named infv188.bin. Now heres the part that doesn;t make sense... when I boot the cd.. it says "upgrade firmware 1.82" or something like that.
Did the matrix team inadvertently uploaded the wrong fw, or is this related to my console or modchip?

Try burning from cue and with low speed.

I would like to know how to install dev2installv11? or Do you even need to install it? + Do i have to update to 1.36 before 1.88?

lol i just tryed to install and same thing as juventini, upgrade to 1.82 press x, well as long as it works..
