Ok, my original thread is here and I thought everything was good on it, but every once in a while my sx wire keeps popping off, and of course I'd fix that.

Also with the problems listed below, the chip boots every time. I can use DEV 1 & 2 with out problem.

But here lately, on ps1 games, or even running test with the exploit and disabling my chip, I get the RSOD on both original and backup discs. I also have a problem where I have to force ps1 mode sometimes to get any ps1 disc to boot.

On the ps2 format side, I have a problem where some programs will not boot anymore like Gameshark (any version) and usb advance. There are some known working games (for hdd and backup disc use) that will not boot up at all like Shadow of the Colossus, but most boot fine from hdd and backup cd/dvd as well as originals. Most homebrew like uLE, hdl, most Emu, codebreaker loads fine.

I've cleaned up any points as well as I possibly can, and the only thing that I can think that is causing this is the SX point is finally screwed up completely. If this is so, is there alternate point?

The picture is way too big to display here @ 5645x4845 and 3.64MB, but I wanted to give the most detail that I could.

Any help on this is much appreciated.

Edit - When the pic is opened, right click and "save as" because the page its embedded in screws with its aspect ratio.

Edit 2 - Moved SX wire to here. Now if the chip is disabled, pressed ps1 games will work, also booted hdl from exploit and shadow of the colossus works from hdd and all elf files work. If the chip is enabled, it still has problems listed above.

Edit 3 - Ugraded firmware to 1.93. Able to play SOTC with chip enabled, but while enabled, still can't use some elf files, (GS, usb ad.)

Edit 4 - Somehow I managed to blow the fuse for the fan. Can some one point me to a 12v source on a gh-022 mobo?

Edit 5 - Well not only the fan's not working, I now have no audio or video to go with that. I think I fried it. Although it does come out of stand by, I haven't even bothered to check and see if it will try to read discs at this point.

Ok, tested it and it does read discs, but still no fan, video or audio. Also no wire was moved during this entire process except for the sx wire. So at this point, I don't have a clue if the ps2 can be fixed or not.

Edit - Found a couple of 5v places to make the fan work, but still no luck on the rest.

Edit 2 - Been checking fuses and the only one I can find that is bad is the PS5 fuse (which after looking up is for the fan). But I still can't figure out the audio/video problem.

Never mind, I'm pulling the chip off, and dvd drive out and the rest is going in the trash.

Edit - Pulled the chip and the damn thing booted up. Its amazing how much hell this ps2 has gone through and keeps running. But I guess when I get the cash, I'll send it to a pro to have the fan fixed properly. Also installed other matrix chip and still having problems with ps1 backups.
