Multi-Disc... Swap –
03-19-2007,07:09 AM
Hi
Just installed my first Matrix Infinity Homebrew in a PAL v15.
All works fine... updated to 1.93 and everything works except...
On Singstar there is an option to Change Disc... The PS2 doesn't seem to complete the disc recognition phase for the changed disc.
Is this a known issue with MI, firmware? Or is it my install
TIA
DT

OK. By the lack of response I assume that Matrix Infinity does not support games with multiple discs.

try un-solder the RST
by un-soldering it, the sleep feature will gone
to re-enable sleep, solder the RST again

Interesting.
What is the impact of permanently leaving RST disconnected?

Well, I don't have an answer on the RST thing. But I can tell you that my V14 MI green dot 1.88 swaps singstar (backup) discs without a problem. What I did found out was that Singstar DVD's are very tricky to backup. You have to use the right brand DVD+R. I'n my case TDK, SONY, IMAGION didn't work well. It did boot fine most of the times but when swapping the discs it went wrong. Now I have used Fujifilm DVD+R. Those are the only ones Singstar works fine with on my PS2.
I hope this helps you out!
