hey there, i'm new to installing modchips, and i just installed a modbo 4 on my v7 PS2

i've soldered to all points, and i when i run my ps2 i see the Matrix logo, but the sounds is all fuzzy and crackly. also, when i run any sort of media in it, retail games/dvds or backups, they don't start, just a black screen, and you can hear the crackly fuzzy ound even louder.

is there sort of specific wires i should check to see whats wrong?

also, i use wire from an old ide cable since i didn't have any kynar wire...

best I can say is to get a multimeter and use the continuity mode. Check each of the points with other components around them to see if there is a bridge on any.

Check the O wire and the pin next to it. I bridged those once and thats the result I got.
