Yes of course. The 'Matrix Manager' is just a super-simple launch menu program supplied by the modchip makers. You'll be much better off using a program like uLaunchELF instead (aka: uLE). This can be directly booted via Dev1 without using the Matrix Manager.
They both share that one ability, though they are nothing like each other in any other aspect. FMCB is a complete boot system, which includes a launch menu as one of its many aspects. The matrix manager is only a launch menu and nothing else. It wouldn't even be able to boot at all except for the Dev1 boot support of the modchip, which may also be used to boot any other elf file.Quote:

But getting back to your question:
Yes. Any Dev1 program properly installed will work without any CD at all.
I know. One of my own consoles is of exactly the same model (same datecode too), meaning that it has bios v2.30 making FMCB boot impossible.Quote:

Why ? It is a ridiculously useless program.Quote:

It can launch a few homebrew elfs for you, but that is all it can do.
It doesn't even offer a practical method to modify that launch menu when you need to.
A program like uLE can do all the same plus much, much more.
That is an exercise best left to someone who has a modbo/MI chip to test it with, which I do not. I am not going to patch up some guesswork CNF and post it here untested, which is the only thing I could do myself.Quote:

Personally I wouldn't bother with that manager at all.Quote:
4. HOW TO PUT ALL APP IN CD
Instead I would do the following:
1: Read some of the tutorials floating around on how to use the uLE FileBrowser
2: Download a boot CD ISO for uLaunchELF (precise version doesn't really matter)
3: Burn that ISO to a CD disc
4: Boot the uLE CD (just like a burned game) on your chipped console
5: Use the uLE FileBrowser to create an MC folder named "BOOT" where you place a copy of the uLE program file, naming it "BOOT.ELF"
6: Use the uLE FileBrowser to copy any other files you want to your MC, either from FAT32 USB drives or from other burned CD/DVD discs
7: Use the uLE 'Configurator' to set up launch shortcuts in the uLE menu for each of the new programs you copied to MC, and then exit the 'Configurator' using its 'OK' command. This saves the LAUNCHELF.CNF file containing the menu settings to MC.
After this uLE should work as your main Dev1 boot program, though you will also have to modify your modchip settings if you want to make it boot into Dev1 mode by default in future boots (without having to hold R1 during each boot where you want uLE).
Since I don't have any modbo/ MI modchip myself I can't do that.Quote:

If you really are sorry about posting in an old thread, then don't do it again.Quote:

All you had to do was to back out of the thread you were reading to reach the forum where that thread was listed, and there use the command button entitled "New Thread", which is found both above and below each list of threads in these forums.
That command will allow you to create a brand new thread with a title you get to choose, so as to attract attention to your particular problem.
