Modbo 4.0 (MI Clone) not booting psx games
Modbo 4.0 (MI Clone) not booting psx games –

Just installed a Modbo 4.0 in a ps2 slim v13. ps2 games boot just fine.(US, JP, and burned backups) PS1 games however will not boot at all unless I disable the chip.
Does anyone have any trouble shooting advice they can share? I'm hoping it's just a loose connection and not a defective chip. Anyone know what wires control the ps1 driver?
Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: just tested cd audio, dvd movies, and CD based ps2 games. All working. Problem is still just with the ps1 games.

Fixed it, wire B got pinched during install. Replaced wire and they boot up. There is no PS1 Bios screen however. I assume this is normal operation for the modbo.

you are right, I got a Matrix infinity clone and the PSX didn't show the bios screen either. Thanks for confirming that for me!
What is funny, when i first installed mine, PS2 games couldn't be recognized and the MI bios couldn't be accessed; PS1 backups were showing as black discs and launching with their bios screen. - After I cleaned the install and everything to work, the PS1 bios screen would no longer show... I thought my install was messed.
now, in the browser, PS1 games show as a purple disc unless I boot with the 'O' button to force into PSX/DVD mode, then they show as black discs.... but still no psx bios, like you said - so you are not alone; guess that how it's supposed to be?
