I just soldered a MI in my ps2. First it was stuttering in cutscenes/intros but that went away after update to fw 1.91. The problem that remains is that it hangs on booting most of the time. (on the matrix logo or at black screen if I turn logo off). When it does boot, it will play backups just fine. also it seems to boot always if I put disk in after it got to the normal browser screen. (so boot with empty drive)
    Who can help pls?

check the bios wires and make sure they are soldered correctly and are not bridged anywhere. More than likely though, it sounds like a power/ground issue. Use short fat wires for the ground. Keep the ground wire shorter than a couple of inches max.
