Hey I've just installed the Matrix Infinity green dot onto a USA SCPH-70002. I installed Firmware upgrade 1.88. All games seem to run fine. But European region movies will absolutely not run.

Here's what I tried (in all attempts, all on/off functions on the Infinity Manager menu were turned to ON): Boot mode was on: AUTO (I also tried DVDV and forcing DVD mode by holding Circle). Then I went one by one through EVERY DVD Region (1-8). All attempts led to a black screen saying:
    "TV SYSTEM DOES NOT MATCH".

    Any ideas?

    OOPS,
What is this F point and why is it not in original Matrix Infinity installation diagrams? Could this be the problem? (I just saw this point on a diagram at Mod-Chip.com)

The F wire is strictly for RW discs, not DVD playback as far as I know. From what I understand, the MI chip patches games for PAL/NTSC compatability - but I don't think this is possible with movies. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. I think converting a PAL movie to NTSC would take a lot more than a chip - I would think it would be a complicated transcoding process or a dvd player already capable of playing both...
