    Hello!

A friend gave me his 90004 9D ps2 to check it because it stopped booting backups.
The chip installed is a Matrix Infinity with version 1.93 and it saves settings just fine. I can access the chip's configuration screen and I an see the matrix logo and altered ps2 logo.
It used to work OK but now backups - both ps2 and ps1 - dump you to the red error screen.
Originals work fine though - both ps2 and ps1 - and they load fast without any stress as far as I can tell.

Is there a tip of what to look tomorrow when I open it up? I kinda hope that some cable just got loose because of bad soldering but any tip/recommendation is highly welcome

Also , is the installation diagram the same for all 90004 models?

thanks in advance for any help!

Could be a bad flash to the matrix chip?
