Hi, Im new to modding, need some help.
I got a PS2 v2 GH004 mobo, and a Martix Infinity modchip. Having some trouble soldering the SX point.
I cant get access to the bottom of the motherboard to solder the SX point, how do you get access to the bottom of the board?

You have to unsolder the powersupply. It's extremely difficult unless you have a solder removal station or some type of solder removing device.

Man that sounds troublesome, Is there no other way to solder the SX point on back?
Is there a decent tutorial out there on how to disassemble v2?
There's no other way to do it. No tutorial that I've seen. Basically all you do is remove those 4 solder joint on the power supply. It's in the middle of the board kinda. Good luck.
wow - a v2 - never come across one of those yet. I'll remember the tip if I do :)
Its not the power supply, it the daughter board that has to be removed. Basicly two motherboards soldered back to back. Have a look at this, its a GH-005 V2 PS2.Quote:

There is an alternative SX point that you can use on the top, some times you have to get to the back for the Y point though like in the above picture. The next picture I think is a GH-004 and all the points are on the top.

The S point is equal to the MI's SX point.

spedmetal, how do you remove the solder from the powersupply board? It was extremely difficult for me, I failed.
