Matrix Infinity and ps2 backups
Matrix Infinity and ps2 backups –
I just finished modding my pal-v14 pstwo with the Matrix Infinity. After turning the pstwo on I get the Matrix logo, I was able to flash the firmware to 1.91 using a cd-r.
I can get into the Matrix Config Screen and set all kinds of things, I can play an original ps2 game. I can play a original movie dvd and I can play a backup movie dvd. The only thing that won't work is a ps2-game backup. (I backed up the game that worked earlier). The psTwo just askes for a ps2 disc in such a red screen....
So now, after searching this forum I've seen that I have to use A-brand dvd's. Ok, I'll buy some TDK DVD+R tomorrow and I wil try if that works. But I was wandering. When you see everything that does work, is it still possible that one of my wires isn't connected well enough? Can I conclude that my Matrix Infinity is installed OK when you see everything that does work?
Buy some Verbatim dvds. Burn them at like 8x. No, you cannot say that your installation is ok yet. We need to do some more test to determine if the install is ok. You need to try Verbatim or some other good media and make sure it's not the dvd media that's causing your problem.
If you can enter the settings menu then your bios points are correct. Sounds to me like yet another CDVD point issue.
OK, and can you tell me which points are the CDVD points?
Thank you. So at least the wires in the n to w area are good. Those ones I thought were the hardest to connect. I'll reconnect the A,b, i and g-wire if the A-brand dvd (I'll try to find Verbatim) don't work. The H-wire is not used in the V14-pal diagram. (no mistake I hope....) I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your help.
