    PS2: v12
Modchip: Seems like some sort of clone, v1.39

So I installed the modchip, it worked fine for a few months and suddenly, it won't detect any discs. The laser works fine, I tried it on another ps2 and it worked flawlessly and spun the disc.

What happens is, I put in the disc. Power on the PS2, cover the sensors so that the laser can do it's thing. The laser goes into the middle of the disc and shines it's red goddess on my disc. What's this?! the disc doesn't spin. I look at LaunchELF it reads "No disc", so I reset the ps2, so it goes to the normal browser. Same thing, "No data".

Long story short, It seems that my PS2 fails to read that there is a disc. After I had done this, I put the laser in my other ps2 and put in a disc and it found it. What would be the problem? Which wire does the disc detecting?

I checked all the wires and everything seems to be all in place and held together. I wonder what's up.
