    Hi,

I'm still new to this forum and dutch, so srry 4 my bad english.

I own a PSTwo PAL v14. A couple days ago i've installed Matrix Infinity v1.75 and it worked perfect!
This morning the red led blinked on and off and then stayed off. I couldnt turn it on anymore.
Then we opened the ps2 and then took the Matrix Infinity out, turned the ps2 on and it worked again.
My chip is dead now, i think. It was an real MI chip, because I changed the settings the first day and it still worked.

    How can this be??
Is it because the chip was too hot? I always leave it in standby mode, is this a problem?

I think I'm gonna let it mod again, but should I use the MI again?

I don't think you should necessarily take this as saying anything bad about Infinity's build quality or QA. For an electronic device to work initially and then die after a few days usually means that one of the individual components was defective and failed after a short time of actually being powered. This is actually one of the most common failure modes for electronics, and even the most stringent mass-production standards will not eliminate it completely...

But what I wanna know is, what caused the problem? Cause i ordered another MI chip, but what if the same problem occurs?
    I'm using a slim line.

hehe then i am the cheapest for 32,50

but about the failure i have done more the 5000 infinity mods and i have not seen much defective
also of the green dot ones i have not seen (0) defectives and that is now also almost a 500

So i think that it is possible that a short did exist in your system and not in the chip when you make false ground you can have the same behaviors you descrypte

if you want you can also come for a checkup at my workplace (and if needed i can also replace your defective infinity because they are in warranty if broken)

    grtz
