Matrix Infinity config screen + component cable

I have a V7 with Matrix Infinity using firmware 1.75 which is connected to the TV via component cable. All games play ok, but when i go to the M.I. config screen my tv doesn't output the screen correctly. The whole screen is shifted to the right and it scrolls up really fast. If i switch back to using regular RCA cables the output looks fine. Does anybody know why this might be happening?
My component cables are from sony.

I have the same problem, does your TV have progressive scan ? I know some ppl with the same problem and it seems to happen only on Progressive Scan TVs.

Yes, my TV supports 480p. I guess that is why it does that.....

Does uLaunchELF works ? Mine have the same problem... HDloader on the other hand works perfectly. weird stuff.

Hi I have the same problem. I have a PSTwo v14 with matrix infinity 1.68 and a FlatTV Philips 30PF9975. I've connected a DVD with component video and perfectly, but when I connect the PS2 it's no image (only I can heard the sound correctly) the TV says "Resolution not supported?¿????" and I select component video in the PS2 config menu. Please heelpppp!!!!
