Matrix infinity chip

I recently had a matrix chip installed and the first time I played the modded ps2 it worked fine. The next time I turned on the ps2 there was only a black screen, no audio no video with the orbs nothing. My question to guy's is Whats wrong with the ps2? Is this a hardware or software problem?

Try start the chip in "disable" mode. Hold start button when u turn ps2 on. Thats how i start trouble shooting.
