    hey guys,, during a update to the new firmware i found out that my matrix infinity chip is a clone and now i have to press the ON button two or three times untill i see the ps2 boot screen. how can i make the ps2 back to normal again i hvnt got the tool to take off the chip hopefully anyone can give me some advice on it ..

    get a real MI installed .... other then that your chip is toast and not much you can do about it.

    And I am guessing you got soaked for a real MI too.

    Thats to bad all these installers/dealers can't tell there customers its not a real MI so dont mess with anything or you can kill the chip.

    Just take the wires off your clone and replace them at the same points on the real MI. Super easy. No major soldering job really. Or take it back to where ya got it and let him know how you feel and make em fix it!

    If you want to just put it back to 'stock' working order, Your gonna have to pull the chip and if your going to go through that trouble, Might as well toss a real MI in there while you have it apart.
