    Hi,

I've just installed a Matrix Infinity MX4 that I got from Mr Modchips and the damn thing doesn't seem to be working. Backups will not boot. I can get the upgrade disc to boot, but when I try to flash it, it just hangs there and doesn't complete. I'm pretty sure that all the wires are soldered well. We must of done something right because I can get the upgrade to boot, (it won't boot on a non modded PS2 that I have) This is a V4 PS2 by the way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks

    Sparky

Also, on the installation diagram there a picture for "bios gap" and "bios no gap" could that have anything to do with it.

There is also two pictures for the a b i points.

If they had instructionson there site it may help.

yes, you need to install it as shown, whether it is a gap or no gap.

i don't know whether this is your prob, but you need to follow the correct picture

check the layout of the bios chips as per the diagrams & compare them with your board, if u have a gap in the middle of the pins then u have a gap bios & vise versa & wire chip accordingly, the alternate points for a.b & i up to you, use one or the other whichever is easiest for you,

It's not a fake one, it does have the 333 on it. The PS2 played copied movies before it was chipped.
