INFINTY/HDLoader problem

i have a Matrix infinty modchip in my PS2, i also have a 120GB HD and run HDloader from my memory card. But lately to get the games on the hard drive to work i have ti have a disk (any disk) in the machine. If i dont have a disk in the machine, when i select a game to play, the screen goes black and stays black...... i am at the end of my tether on this one as i have tried everything from different versions of HDLoader to reinstalling the infinity manger etc etc. so my question to you MATRIX INFINITY experts is, sould it be the CHIP thats the problem. :banghead: the chip has been great ever since i bought the premodded PS2 over 2 years ago and it was installed by a trusted installer. And i update the chip every time an update comes out, any advice would be very very much appreciated!!!!!!!!!

is the ps2 above v9 if so then it one of the patches for hdl to fix it

u need to copy your HDloader.ELF to your PC

then patch it with hdlgui8b.rar

use the 'no disk seek while loading' patch i think.

this is a real newbie question mate, but this could really help, how do i patch it. what tool to i use........................

just downladed the patcher. and im unsure which HDloader to use, and what is unpacked/packed. really appreciate any help cheers!!!

download the original clean hdloader from this thread:

read a little here, so you will understand how it works.

and don't forget to use the 'no disk seek while loading' patch.

i have read through the post and it goes pretty deep. So as far as i have done is. downloaded the clean HDLOADER. unzipped it so its a clean .ELF file. and as in the pic below i have put it into the first box, i have downloaded the "hdlgui8b_r2e.rar" and have run it and found out to tick the bits i want adding to the patched version, BUT what do i put into the second box (arrowed)

leafe it blank.
mark "pack elf file.....".
mark "use unpacked hdl..."
and setup the patches above before you go to "apply patches"

ABSOLOUTE TOP BOMBIN URMELE and the other PS2 experts, i cant thank you enough for all your help. the PS2 is back to normal. (at the moment) i created a file and only checked the bit i needed. and fingers crossed its cool. once again mate CHEERS for your patience!!!
