Hi, I've just purchased a new slimline PS2 v14 which has a motherboard revision of GH-041-04 and it differs from all the installation diagrams posted. Can any help in installation of an Infinity HB chip. Cheers.

I also have a GH-041-04 and have been unable to find any installation diagrams that suit it.
Here's the crystal chip diagram for the GH-041-03, which seems to be the same as the 04.

come on guess look a little bit further on the infinitysite
it is all there it is even one of the first v14 layouts i have seen![]()
Mabcom: your #6 picture here looks like my gh-041-04. But both pics in infinity's news section (12-27-05) look different than ours. Are we sure this is the correct Y point? I'm NTSC. Am I allowed to post a link? http://www.infinitymod.com/cgi-bin/m...e.pl?page=news
i am positive sure this is the correct Y point
Numbers on mainboard can change but if your layout looks like the schematic i posted you can go for it ,

Ok I hope you're right...I couldn't find ur pics on infinity's site, but the boards look the same. Well...my caps are yellow and yours are black, but thats irrelevant. The second link on the news page shows pin 69 should be Y. It has some other points to verify, too. I'll dig in soon. EDIT: Point H is not used I see? It looks good, got the logo(s) and all.

Oh no, I get the matrix logo but I get red screens on any kind of disc. Are we sure that H point isn't used?
sorry i missed the NTSC part![]()
the schematic i showed is PAL but you need the H point if you have a NTSC pstwo
but showing the matrix logo atleast means that your system is still working

Yes sir the H was all I needed. That wasn't so hard for my first slim. Thanks Mabcom for the pictures, everything went smooth as butter. Oh and use a straight razor to keep the warranty sticker valid.
