I have the Matrix Infinity 1.93 and to avoid the process of dismantle I will try to reinstall firmware of a previous version and then go back to the 1.93...
the question is:
If is a fake, in the downgrade, the modchip will die?
I also heard that the original matrix infinity keeps the configurations saved in the config screen (triangle and circle or triangle and square, i don`t remember)... is this true?

if it is a cheap clone it will die. if it is a reasonable decent clone, it won't flash. modbo v4 is the only clone I know of that can be flashed. the only sure way (and only recommended way,) is to open the system.

yeah, today I`ll take the risk...
Is there any chance of a decalibration of the laser when I open the ps2... where aproximately it is located?? I have to take out all the parts or just the case??
Thanks!

Well, it`s done... the modchip is a Modbo 4.0
So maybe can be flahsed...
another question... can I use USBExtreme, .elf aplications and that kind of stuff with this chip??
ah, and I asked in another post that my ps2 doesn`t reload automatically when I change the disc... I have to press restart... Is any way to enable this to use codebreaker, action replay and gameshark??
Thanks!
