On the different sites I've looked at for how to identify your PS2 version, they all say that model # SCPH-39001 (which I have) can be v7 or v8. I saw at least one site that says v8 was only sold in Japan. But other sites say if the motherboard says GH-022, it's a v8. Mine was bought in the U.S., and the motherboard says GH-022. So is it a v7, or v8?

Also, I can only find Matrix Infinity wiring diagrams for v7. Can I assume this same diagram will work for a v8? I'm looking at this diagram:
    http://www.infinitymod.com/matrix/fi...V08/USA-V7.JPG
I can identify all of the solder points on my motherboard, except for 'I'. I'm not finding anyplace on my motherboard that looks like that. Where on the motherboard is this area located?

    Thanks for any help!

Even though the motherboard says GH-022 (and not GH-017)? This says otherwise:

    That's why I'm confused.

Doh! Never mind about the 'I' wire. Just found this diagram:
    http://www.mod-chip.com/images/Matri...nfinity-v7.jpg
which shows that the solder point is on the other side of the motherboard.

Still curious to know if my PS2 is a v7 or v8, though.
