    hello everybody
    i want to install an elf file for dev2 mode but i dont want to use dev2 installer cd so i used pfs expoler and i put elf file into hdd but it didnt work is there a way put elf file into hdd from my computer or memory card or another ... ? sory for bad english

    That doesn't work because the "__boot" partition need a special flag on the attributes. You need a CD to make it anyway... You can use either the Matrix proggie or the DMS HDD explorer ... Up to you what you will use.
    You can run the Matrix one off the Memory Card tho ...
    Then you put files on the boot partition with ExecFTPS. the boot elf is "BOOT.ELF", not "boot.elf". If you put it with the wrong name you will be greet with a nice RED SCREEN

    if you install a BOOT.ELF to the __boot partition with dev2installer it goes to lowercase. After installing using dev2install take a look inside your __boot partition and you will see the boot.elf is now lowercase.

    Yeah you're right ! My bad .. CAPS for the boot MC elf, lowercase for the HDD one.

    i believe u are able to copy a boot.elf to your __boot partition with uLaunchelf.

    I have installed ulaunchelf as boot.elf in hdd,but don't save the configuration in LAUNCHELF.CNF.Is possible or I had something wrong?

    there should be a file called LAUNCHELF.CNF in "mc0:/SYS-CONF/".

    u can also make the directory yourself with uLaunchELF, like i did.

    next. read the tutorial in my signature m8, it may clear up some things 4 u.
