How to identify MX chip?
How to identify MX chip? –

I looked at TeamMatrix's homepage at iinfinitymod dot com.
I was intending to update my matrix chip. But I have no idea what chip was installed into my machine. There are several models at TM's homepage, such as MX-L, MX-L2 and the older models.
On bootup my PS2 says "MX4 v1.1" below the PS logo.
Thank you for helping.

youll have to look at it to be sure . but you most likely have the offical mx4 because i dont think i have ever seen a clone of it . you already have the current flash on it and i doubt they will ever make another flash .

Okay, that sounds good, but why no update or even mentioning the MX4 on TM's homepage?

Because my chip is just that good, or just that obsolete?
Another thing bakes my noodle. The console can give the firmware version of the main board, the DVD player, etc, but there seem to be no updates for it on playstation.com... how come?
