How I created my own simple logo with Photoshop 7.0 for the V1.68 firmware –

The background of the ILOGO.bmp file has to be transparant, because otherwise it overlaps part of the "Playstation" text when you load a ps2 game.
I did the following:
1) Download firmware from : http://www.infinitymod.com/matrix/fi...inityFW168.zip
2) Unpack zip file with Winzip.
3) Unpack .bin file with Isobuster 1.6 and put everything in a seperate folder
4) Open the ILOGO.BMP file with Photoshop 7.0
5) With 'zoom tool' I zoomed in on the logo
6) Clicked on 'brush tool' , selected the right purple color, and made the whole picture purple.
7) Then I clicked on 'horizontal type tool', then clicked on 'set foreground color' and selected the white color, and at the # sign, I filled in ffffff
8) Then I clicked somewhere in the left of the picture, starting to type my logo text.
9) Further on I selected the text, and choose the right font and size. Also when you move aside the text with the cursor, you can move the tekst.
10) Then I saved the file as ILOGO.bmp, and replace the original ILOGO.bmp file in the firmware files.
11) Burned all the files on a CD-R as data disk, and upgraded the Infinity firmware.
Keep in mind that the "y" of playstation could overlap your logo text. Also when you put the text too high, is will also overlap the playstation logo.
I have choose to put the logo text in the lower left bottom of the picture.
See the attached picture.
Just mount it with daemon tools or unpack it with an iso tool.
Copy the content of the iso and burn in as an data disc, or you could create an new image.
With Paint Shop Pro I did mine a bit different.
I created a new file to the appropriate dimensions,128 x 32, selected greyscale 8 bit color and then zoomed in. Then I flood filled it with Black. After that I chose my font Typed the text applied it, and then used the lighten darken option to lighten up my text.
I then saved it as windows os bitmap and then renamed it to Ilogo.
I opened up the 1.68 flash iso with isobuster, put all the files in a folder on my desktop and replaced the ILOGO the Matrix team provided with mine.
Finally I opened cdgen and dragged and dropped all the files from the folder, in their original order into it (cdgen) and then created my bin cue file.
I really dont understand how the purple is transparent. could you explain it ?
I made a new logo because as you said there was a little overlap with my first one.
I added the ps2 style fonts to this thread for those who want them.

I used 'IsoBuster' to access the 'ILOGO.BMP' file and edited it with 'mspaint.exe.' I had some really cool fonts I wanted to use for my base but instead of trying to figure out how to import them into 'M$ paint' I took an image of my desired characters using 'Bulent's Screen Recorder 3' in 'OpenOffice.org 2.1' and cropped, resized the image and edited the file format using 'MGI Photosuite III SE.' Then I resized and added an image of my own and pasted them into 'paint' and basically re-worked the entire image, lol. By the time I was finished, I don't even think ANY of the characters or image I had inserted was original. However, they served as great base references to the finished product, which, was only AFTER reflashing the 'Matrix Infinity (Green Dot)' BIOS about three times to preview the tag. I used 'CDGen' to re-compile the contents of the 'infv191.bin' file after modding the 'ILOGO.BMP.' In all, it took an entire off-watch to finish. (I work on a tow-boat where my schedule is 6 hours on and 6 hours off)
I'm pleased with the final product but I could always do some more tinkering. ; p
