    I installed it, with the chip On I was able to update the firmware to 1.75 but it won't read any of my PS2 backups. It reads original Movies and games fine..When I disable the chip it freezes in the screen where it says "DISABLED", it doensn't go past that.

    I can access infinity setting s and change them with no problem..

    what is happening when you put in a backup do you get a RSOD
    then for sure you have to look at the dvd points A,I,B,G (H)

    it is correct that the system freeze at the disabled screen because you have to reset the ps2 after the message

    as long as you reset the mod stay off till you put the ps2 in standby and turn it on again

    I don't get RSOD, t just says disc error...I don't know how it managed to read the firmware update..it won't read CDRs either
