Help With Matrix Infinity V1.38
Help With Matrix Infinity V1.38 –
12-06-2005,12:10 PM
Hello everyone,
I was playing Need for Speed: Most Wanted yesterday night (it was copied) and the game froze, i then restarted my PS2 and it didn't go past the Browser screen, so I tried all my other copied games and they did the same. Next I tried a original game and it worked proper, the Infinty v1.38 logo also still shows when booting up the game.
PLEASE HELP ANYONE!
Thanks in Advance!

might try cleaning lens with alcohol and q-tip to see if that solves the problem

this does sound laser related. Which console version is this in?
You could also check that none of your install has come loose.
Your laser will struggle more to read a copied disc than an original, so the first sign of laser wear is usually with back ups rather than originals.

If we are on Matrix Infinity problem let's ask basic question... how to get in to the Chip settings menu? I have v1.4.
Playstation 2 v7 SCPH-39003 (UK) + Ripper 3.2u

Hey B4-Hunter,
just press both TRIANGLE and CIRCLE button during RESET until configuration menu appears.
By the way, you did not dare to upgrade your M.I. yet to v1.68 ?
Come on, there is no risk at all !!

yes you will but you will only get black screen or matrix logo when starting ps2
I suggest you open and check what chip you have or if you have infinity manager on memory card start that and retry 1.38 but this will only work if you have an original chip and it was just a bad flash
