that is strange, have you tried using non-printable blank cd-r/dvd-r discs for your backups for testing purposes. what model ps2 are you using?

who ever told you ritek was the best lied to you , as Taiyo Yuden DVD Media is the best you can get , what speed and program are you writing with, also what dvd burner do you have, make sure you have the latest firmware for your dvd burner and write at 2x or 4x i suggest using dvd decrypter.

try using regular cd-r/dvd-r discs to make backups of the games and then try them on the slim unit (don't use the printable ones). see if the problem is still there after trying this.

the reflective layer on cd-r/dvd-r discs is on the top next to the printable area of the disc with pressed cd/dvd discs this layer is in the middle. slim units have some of the worst lasers, so maybe even if it?s not a reg. label but a printable one it still may causing interference on the slim???

Hey i took your advice using a different disk and it seemed to work without problems playing for like 2 hours. But when playing intro video sceens it was stuttering. That was using Bulkpaq disc burned at 4x lowest i can go. So which cd do you recommentd using? Other than the ritek which crashed and the bulkpaq?

    Thanks
